In Which We Serve is a , 1942 British war film directed by Noël Coward and David Lean telling the story of the fictional British destroyer HMS Torrin and its crew, particularly through the recollections of survivors as they wait in a lifeboat after the ship is sunk in the Battle of Crete. The film stars Coward as Captain Kinross, along with John Mills and Bernard Miles, and was a highly successful patriotic propaganda effort intended to boost morale during World War II.
